I was supposed to do a round-up on the best beats of 2009 last Saturday but I’m still waiting for a few Vinyl’s & Cd’s to show up, so gonna do it on next weeks show instead.

This show was more about digging out old classics and mixing them with a few newer things to keep it interesting.

New D&B in Hour 1 from the likes of Seba (remixing Polar), Consequence and Requeim aswell as modern classics from 2007 albums by Klute and Commix and not so modern classics from Ed Rush & Optical and Breakage (is it really 6 years since “So Vain” was released ???!)

In the second hour there’s recent material from Pendle Coven and A Made Up Sound on the house/techno tip and Instra:Mental and Martyn on the Dubstep front. Going back to 2007, I dug out personal faves from Omar S, Andy Stott and Kode 9 and travelling even further back I found B12’s (aka Redcell) 1996 album “Time Tourist” on Warp – classic techno from a production duo that recently resurfaced after a long haitus.
